Prepping for Baby Girl

The change in the weather here in Spokane, WA has been so incredibly welcome this weekend! I took advantage of the sunshine and sunned my cloth diapers.  I know, seems a little odd-- but the sun does amazing things.  It works as a natural bleach and kills bacteria.  I have been longing for the sun so that after a winter of less-than-perfectly-white diapers, I could have stain-free fluff.

I have been cloth diapering my son, Ian since he was about a month old.  It's got all sorts of benefits--economical, environmental, etc... Most cloth diapering moms will tell you, cloth has changed from the old prefolds, pins, and plastic pants to fun, stylish, and modern designs (with snaps and velcro!).  Be warned-- it is addicting.  I thought it was bad when I just had a boy-- well, my daughter-to-be has some very cute diapers waiting for her.  It's like another accessory, and slightly addicting.

My nesting phase has kicked in, I just want to get everything prepped and ready for baby girl (her stand-in name until we actually pull it together to agree on a name!) On the agenda this week: paint a dresser and assemble a crib.

T-minus 7 weeks, and definitely counting :)
